Healing Service

healing"I have seen his ways and will heal him; I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near,” saith the LORD; “and I will heal him." Isaiah 57:18-19 (TMB).

We at St. Luke''s are committed to a healing ministry. Our patron saint is St. Luke, the physician. It is therefore our mission to be a church where all may have peace and rest in Christ. This ministry includes mind, body, and soul. To that end, we have a healing service every month on the third Sunday of each month at our Noon Holy Eucharist service. The mind will be fed by the Word of God and by the sermon. The body will be healed through the Holy Spirit when the priest lays his hands upon you, prays with you, and annoints you with holy oil. And the soul will be fed by the real presense of Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

If you have never been to a healing service but are curious, please come. Or if you know someone who is in need of healing, please bring them. We provide visitor booklets with the entire service. If you feel comfortable, you may come forward for healing.

Likewise, if someone is housebound and needs a priest, we provide Visitation of the Sick. With these house calls we will give Holy Eucharist, Healing, and in critical cases, Extreme Unction (Last Rites). It is our duty to provide the peace of God through Christ to all in need.

The grace of God is limitless. And all are welcomed.
